Gareth D’Almeida
Gareth D’Almeida is the Head Coach for the division 1 team the Wave. Gareth has been involved with the club for 20 years as a player and a coach. After finishing playing, he went on to be the attack coach for the wave for 2 seasons before taking up the challenge to be head coach of the Storm, Sumners Colts team. They went on to claim the 2020 colts premier championship in their first year in the competition, and went on to repeat that in 2021 going back to back!
Richie Dimbleby
Ritchie returns for his third tenure as Junior Club Captain. A life member of the club, Richie brings an undoubted passion and commitment to junior rugby. With four young Dimbleblys having and currently playing for the club, the family really embody the value of Sumner for Life.

Matt Wood
Starting with Sumner Rugby as the Colts Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2008, Matt has moved on to coaching junior teams involving his two boys for 5 years, also playing for the Premier Reserves Team for five seasons, whilst joining the Senior Rugby Committee before becoming Club Captain in 2019. Then in 2021 Matt was voted in as the Sumner Rugby Club President.
