Club Day & Weekly Rugby

Club Day

This weekend we will be celebrating our great club with club day.

There will be lots of entertaining rugby from our Juniors teams and Junior club Sponsor Mitre 10 Mega Ferrymead packing out McCormack's Bay with a BBQ and Bouncy castle. Our Premier and Premier Reserves both playing at St Leonards Sq with the first game kicking off at 1:00pm.

There will also be a few milestones to celebrate up in the clubhouse after all the fixtures.

Sharks Jawing for a Winning Jar

It was set to be a battle of 2 forces as the Sumner Sharks headed to Belfast to take on the munch. It proved to a clash of entertaining footy with the Sharks narrowly going down to a few tryings to some.

This weekend our men take on the Christchurch Canardlys/ Heroes under the lights at Christchurch park on Friday for a bit of a humdinger to help kick off club day weekend.

The premier reserves carried on their second half performance from the Lincoln Uni game the week prior as they took on the other student team the UC Yams. They put together a complete performance in a tight game finishing on top with a 19-13 score line and starting off the singing for the weekend.

This weekend the Reserves take on Sydenhams reserve squad. This is going to be a good ol fashion, dingdong game where Coach Tim Poncho Moriarty wants to see them put in another 80 minute performance from his men.

And the wave keeps rolling on!!!

The Premier boys see off a determined Vipers team to secure their 2nd win of the season. A lethal partnership of Ali Crossdale and Charles Oswald got the wave rolling with Charlies cross for a first half hat trick thanks to his partner in crime Ali putting him away for all of his trys.

This week our men face the Bus drivers of Sydenham who are recently off back to back defeats, so they will be determined to cross the Ferrymead bridge to ruin what will be one of our greatest club days yet, but Marty's men will have other ideas wanting to keep momentum as well as putting in huge efforts for Captain Joel Rabbidge and frontrower corner stone Samu Tawake knock up 50 caps for our mighty clubs Premier Squad.
